Frequently Asked Questions

How it Works

Flower Shares

What is a flower subscription, exactly?

It's a subscription to fresh, farm-grown flowers. You pay once, and you get four weekly deliveries (or pickups) of whatever's in peak bloom. It's like a CSA, but for flowers.

How many deliveries do I get?

Four, one per week, for the mum share and the tulip share. If you buy the Collection, it's eight total — four in fall, four in spring.

When does it start?

The start date shifts with the weather — these are farm-grown flowers, and nature decides. As a general guide, tulips are usually blooming by the end of March into early April, and chrysanthemums are usually popping by mid-to-late October. You'll get an email about a week before your first delivery with your exact start date.

How do I know when my flowers are coming each week?

You'll get an email with your delivery day and schedule before the season starts. I route deliveries by neighborhood to keep them efficient, so your day may depend on where you live.

What if I'm out of town one week?

You've got options. You can gift your bouquet to someone else — a neighbor, a friend, whoever could use some flowers. Or you can double up the following week, pending availability. Just give me a heads up and we'll sort it out. (One note: if it's the end of the season, the pickings can be slim, so doubling up may not always be possible.)

Can I extend my share if I want more?

Yes. When your four weeks wrap up, you'll get an email offering two more weeks at the same price per week.

What kinds of flowers will I get?

For the fall share: heirloom chrysanthemums — quilled petals, spider-thin curls, and colors you won't find at the grocery store. For the spring share: specialty tulips — frilled, ruffled, and doubled varieties. Not the standard supermarket blooms.

Pickup & Delivery

How much does delivery cost?

$10 within 5 miles, $20 within 10 miles. Beyond 10 miles, pickup only (or email me to arrange something).

Do I pay for delivery each week?

No — you pay once at checkout, and that covers all four (or eight) deliveries.

How do I choose the right delivery rate?

Pick the rate that matches your distance from the farm. If you're unsure, message me and I'll confirm. If you choose the wrong tier, I'll send a quick invoice for the difference before delivery.

What is porch-front delivery?

I'll leave your flowers on your porch in a shady spot. If you'd like, leave out a container of water and I'll pop them right in.

What is neighborhood delivery, and how does it work?

When 3 or more subscribers within half a mile of each other order, delivery is free for all of them. One person replies to their confirmation email, I verify the addresses, and I refund everyone's delivery fees.

Can I switch from delivery to pickup?

Yes — just reply to your confirmation email and let me know.

Where is the farm, and when can I pick up?

Farm pickup is free. I'll email you pickup details — address and hours — closer to the season.

Do you ship flowers?

No. Flowers are delivered locally or picked up at the farm. Bulbs are a different story - reach out if you need bulbs delivered.

Tulip Bulbs

When do I get my bulbs

Bulbs are available for farm pickup or porch-front delivery on October 15, 2026 — pickup from 9am–6pm, delivery from 9am–12pm.

When do I need to order bulbs by?

October 10

When do I plant them?

Mid-to-late October. They need to go in the ground in the fall to bloom in spring.

Do you ship bulbs?

Not as a standard option — bulbs are pickup or local delivery only. If you're outside the area and want bulbs shipped, message me and I'll see what I can do.

What if I've never planted bulbs before?

The planting instructions are on the bulb page, and they're simple. Full sun, good drainage, pointy tip up, water, cover.

What if my bulbs don't come up?

All sales are final, and the buyer assumes responsibility for growing flowers from the bulbs. But if something goes wrong, message me — I'm happy to help troubleshoot.

Two seasons of flowers!

Spring & Fall Collection

What is the Collection?

It bundles the fall mum share and the spring tulip share into one order — eight weeks of flowers across two seasons.

Why does the Collection close on October 25?

Because it includes the fall mum share, and mum orders close October 25. Tulip pre-orders stay open longer, but if you want both seasons, October 25 is the deadline.

When do I plant them?

Mid-to-late October. They need to go in the ground in the fall to bloom in spring.

What is the named variety perk?

You can choose a specialty tulip variety and a mum variety from our catalog. We'll tag them with your name in the field and save the very first blooms for you — in spring and again in fall. I'll reach out closer to each season so you can make your picks.

Can I buy just one season instead?

Yes — both the mum share and the tulip share are available on their own.

I've got more questions

Miscellany & Sundry

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Yes — reply to your confirmation email before the season starts and I'll update it.

Can I cancel my share?

All sales are final, and we don't offer cancellations. That said, if something comes up, message me — I'm always happy to talk it through.

What if my flowers arrive damaged or wilted?

Message me. I'll make it right.

Do you offer flowers for weddings or events?

Not as a formal offering right now — but if you've got something in mind, let's talk. I love a good excuse to grow something special.

What if I have a question that isn't answered here?

Just reply to any email or send me a message. I read every one.
